depends on how tight it is. if you have to hammer the wheel on, then yes but otherwise try to get it as tight as possible

oh ya now I see what you mean. I had to put the chain on the rear cog first, then partially on the front sprocket. Then you gotta be carefull not to break your chain but then pedal the crank until the chain slips on. It will take a bit of effort depending on how tight it is
